DAY 1:Depart Broome and head to the Derby Prison Tree. We now leave the bitumen behind as we enter the Gibb River Road! A walk up Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. L.D DAY 2: This morning we're off to Tunnel Creek, have your bathers and torches ready. Afternoon sees us off to Bells Gorge. Camping overnight Bells Gorge. B.L.D DAY 3: This morning we travel via the King Leopold Ranges,to Galvans Gorge. For those feeling like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. B.L.D DAY 4: Today we leave the Gibb River Road, and travel to Kalumburu Road to Mitchell Plateau.We camp on the banks of the river. This afternoon have a dip here, and explore the area. Camping King Edward River.B.L.D DAY 5: We make full use of our 4WD capacity today, to take us to the Mitchell Falls. An optional helicopter flight is a must, you can see most of the remotest country in the world.Camping King Edward River. B.L.D DAY 6: This morning explore aboriginal art in the area, before we rejoin the Gibb River Road. Overnight camp Home Valley Station.B.L.D DAY 7: Our journey takes us through the Cockburn Ranges, as we wind our way to El Questro Station. A walk to Emma Gorge, with a swim in the crystal clear waters then onto Kununurra. B.L.D. DAY 8: Free day in Kununurra. B. DAY 9: Today we're off to the Bungles beehive domes and plunging. Visit Echidna Chasm,along with a walk to Mini Palms for those feeling energetic (time permitting).Camp overnight Bungles. B.L.D. DAY 10: Take in the wonder of “Purnululu”,an optional helicopter flightis a must.Lunch in the beehive dome region ,a walk to Cathederal Gorge, before we journey back to Kununurra. B.L.D. DAY 1: Depart Kununurra and drive via the scenic RAGGED RANGE to Turkey Creek, where we have a short stop. We then head to Purnululu National Park turn off, and 53 kms along a very scenic, but winding dirt road via the magnificent OSMAND RANGE. We arrive in time for lunch at the Northern Gorges. Afternoon walks in ECHIDNA CHASM, and MINI PALMS (time permitting), before arriving at our overnight camp on sunset. We depart Perth and head north to explore the Famous Pinnacle Desert. After lunch, we carry on our journey along the Batavia Coast, the sight of many shipwrecks, ask your guide for the stories. In season check out the Wildflowers enroute to the Pink Lakes and the Ocean Gorges (Pot Ally). We stop to watch the sun set then we head for camp, which is a good time for spotting Kangaroos. Overnight, we stay in Kalbarri. all amenities. (L,D) Day 2 This morning, its Kalbarri National Park we begin the day with a bush walk to check out the Murchison River, Z-bends and Natures Window.We then continue north. Next we stop to visit the Stromatolites. (the oldest living things on the planet) and then Shell beach, probably the longest shell beach in the world. Then Denham (the most westerly town in Australia) before arriving at Monkey Mia resort for the night. Most companies stay in Denham but we would rather relax around the barbie or swimming pool and spa. Maybe we will see the dolphins at night hunting for fish along the shore line.(B,L,D) Day 3 We have the morning to spend at Monkey Mia to see the wild dolphins that come in shore, an unforgettable experience. There is also an opportunity to take an optional cruise on a catamaran. We will have lunch at the resort, before moving on to Eagles Bluff, where we take in an unforgettable view of Shark Bay. We start heading back south. Then on to our final night, a Farm Stay. (B,L,D) Day 4 We visit Hutt River Provience and meet Prince Lenard next hang on for some sandboarding over large natural sand dunes. next its Greenough wildlife park and a chance to handle some snakes. Four Wheel Driving is the heart of Australian culture, especially in the outback. Now you can get off the beaten track in your 4WD without having to drive thousands of miles to the middle of nowhere! Four Wheel Drives have special capabilities, but it takes skill to use these features safely and correctly. On the day, you will be taught how to drive a 4WD safely and confidently without incurring damage to yourself, your vehicle or the environment. Our unique 4WD circuit has been specially designed to include a wide variety of terrain and obstacles such as declines, inclines, soft sand, side slopes and hills. The practical training provides familiarisation in actual off-road conditions, gradually progressing to more difficult and challenging terrain during the day. You will learn how to drive a 4WD and negotiate all the different types of obstacles and terrain you might encounter when four wheel driving in the country. It is a comprehensive 4WD course catering to all levels of experience. Get the best from your vehicle by: * Understanding the characteristics of 4WD vehicles * Learning vehicle recovery techniques * Correctly negotiating mud and sand obstacles * Knowing ideal wheel placement * Handling rough terrain * Selecting the right gear and also when and how to engage four wheel drive * Experiencing stall out and stall recovery * Completing ascents and descents * Negotiating humps and ditches * Responding to transmission wind up You are welcome to have up to one passenger in the 4WD with you on the day. After picking you up at your accommodation, we travel north to Yanchep National Park where we stop for a great opportunity to view and photograph Koalas close up! We continue on to the small fishing settlement of Lancelin where we make a brief stop. Be sure to fasten your seat belts as from here we hope into the 4WD for a thrilling experience driving over massive sand dunes and the opportunity to try sand boarding. We journey along bush tracks where we occasionally spot wild Kangaroos and Emus. From here we move onto the rock lobster fishing town for Cervantes. After a BBQ lunch, we visit the highlight of the day, Nambung National Park home of the amazing Pinnacles Desert. Ample time is allowed to enjoy a walk through sections of this fascinating landscape which covers some 404 hectares. DAY 1 - Head north to the unique Pinnacles Desert. After lunch we travel to giant sand dunes for some sandboarding fun. Overnight Kalbarri. DAY 2 - Today we head to Kalbarri National Park for some bushwalking and check out the Z-bend and Natures Window. This afternoon we make our way up to Shark Bay and the beautiful Shell Beach. Stay overnight at Monkey Mia. DAY 3 - See the spectacular dolphins of Monkey Mia. After lunch we start heading to Coral Bay, making a stop at Eagle Bluff. After another stop at the tropical town of Carnarvon we head for our overnight stay in Coral Bay. DAY 4 - Today there is time to enjoy Coral Bay the gateway to Ningaloo Reef. Enjoy swimming, sunbaking, beachcombing, snorkeling or some optional activities like glass bottomed cruise or quadbikes. Late this afternoon we make our way across the grasslands for an overnight stay at Exmouth. DAY 5 - Today you have 2 options: Option 1: head out into the magnificent Cape Range National Park, making our way towards the secluded beaches of the Ningaloo Reef. Here you can snorkel (optional) with a huge variety of soft corals and fish. Explore Yardie Creek Gorge and look for rock wallabies then swim/snorkal at Torquoise Bay. Option 2: Go diving on Ningaloo Reef (own expense). There are many dive packages to choose from - you can even swim with whale sharks (April-June). After our return to Exmouth, we gather at the pool to exchange addresses, share a beer or two and say our final good-byes to those who are not returning back to Perth.
